Spring Break!

Spring Break is coming up!

Spring Break camp will happen from March 20-25th. The total cost is $275, which includes food and lodging for 6 days and ferry ticket.

We had a lot of fun bowling last night! We’ll have pictures of them soon…

In the meantime, here are our events this semester.

Bible Studies- outside on the clocktower lawn!
Mondays- 12-1
Tuesdays- 1-2

Large Groups!
Every Wednesday at 7pm at CSUSM
Dinner- 5:30pm at 3336A Harding St. Carlsbad CA 92008
Rides@ the MCC police station at 5pm and 6:30pm

Spring Break Camp at Palomar Mountain!!

Spring Break is coming soon! It is INTERVARSITY’s annual camp where we learn from the gospel of Mark what it means to know and follow Jesus. People at different places in their spiritual journey go every year, from those who are beginning to question who Jesus is, to those who have walked with him for a while. Join us as we dig into the life of Jesus, discover who he is in a loving community and figure out what that means for our lives.

Dates: March 28th-April 2nd

Cost: $257 (scholarships available-request when you register)

New Semester, New Events!

Also, to kick off the new year, we are doing a concert to raise funds for Haiti with CSUSM during our regular Large Group times! We are trying to raise $3,000 for the relief efforts in Haiti. If you’d like to come, pick up a flyer when we are tabling next week. If you need a ride, just go back to the first flyer and check out the rides info under “Wednesday LG”.

A New Semester!

School’s starting again, and so is InterVarsity! We will be starting activities again this year! Come around to our table to find more info! We’ll be out there from Mon-Thurs. this coming week from 10am-2pm. Come out to hang out and to take part in our community mosaic, where we’re asking the campus, “What do you think it means to be alive?”

And of course, we’ll be doing Karoke at Papa Pepperoni’s on Friday to celebrate the beginning of the new year! That’s Aug. 28th, at 7:30 PM! The address is 805 College Blvd., Oceanside CA (inside the Walmart center).

This year’s regular activities are as follows:

Community Groups:

Real Talk Tuesdays- Tues, 12-1p
Faith Hour- Wed. 1-2p

Large Group (Every Wednesday

5:30p- Free Dinner! (3289 Donna Dr. Carlsbad CA 92008, Rides at 5p from the MCC police station)
7:00p- Large Group @ CSUSM! (Rides from the above address or the police station at 6:30p)

Where- Clocktower lawn at the Oceanside Campus!

Large Groups

These are our weekly combined events with CSU San Marcos. They are tons of fun! There is usually music, a speaker and tons of friends from both MiraCosta and CSU San Marcos!

5pm- FREE Dinner at Amber and Natalia’s house! (email amber at amberhanna@gmail.com for directions or get a ride at the police station at 5pm) We also carpool from there to go to CSUSM (we leave @ around 6:45)

7pm- Large group at CSUSM! (If you cannot make dinner and need a ride, we have rides going from the police station @ 6:30)
